During one of our very first stake young women presidency meetings in 2010, we discussed and prayed about how we could implement our
stake presidency's vision of Grow specific to the needs of the young women.
To represent our presidency's united vision, we came up with three areas of focus, as well as a color scheme with which you are all probably familiar now.
Identity as female Daughters of God.
"Gender is an essential
characteristic of individual pre-mortal,
mortal and eternal identity and purpose."
mortal and eternal identity and purpose."
(The Family; A Proclamation to the
World.)
Pink:
Universal color of femininity.
From The Winston Dictionary - "anything of supreme excellence.“
Testimony of Jesus Christ and His restored gospel
by exercising faith in Him daily.
“Faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things;
therefore if you have faith ye hope for things
which are not seen, which
are true.”
(Alma 32:31)
White:
Young Women
value color for Faith.
From The Winston Dictionary – “ A substance which reflects all the light rays of the
spectrum and produces…the same effect as sunlight.”
“Holiness to the Lord. House of the Lord.”
inscribed in our hearts by living a virtuous life.
“practise virtue and holiness before me.”
(Doctrine and Covenants 38:24)

Gold:
Young Women value
color for Virtue.
From The Winston Dictionary – "A standard of
value and measurement;
remarkable for it’s freedom from rust and tarnish.”

We hope that each young woman, and
all of us as leaders in the Exeter, New
Hampshire Stake, will not only come to a knowledge of but will truly understand and immerse our lives in the light of these eternal truths.
We pray that our lamps will be filled as we "act in [the] doctrine" of who we are, increase our testimony of Jesus Christ by exercising faith in Him daily and commit to strive to live a life of holiness and virtue, setting our sights upon full worship experiences in the Temple. In doing this, we will be prepared to stand confidently in presence of our Savior when He comes again.
