“The Church has need of helping hands
and hearts that know and feel.
The work to do is here for you
Put your shoulder to the wheel.”
Hymn 252
“Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause,
and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;
 For the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves.”
Doctrine & Covenants 58:27-28

BASIC FAQ:

What is Trek?
It is an opportunity for youth and leaders from our stake to participate in an authentic LDS hand-cart pioneer experience. The purpose of Trek is to turn our hearts to our common LDS heritage and our individual ancestry by memorializing and remembering their sacrifice for us, strengthening our personal testimony of the restored gospel, exercising faith in Jesus Christ and building unity and love among our youth.

Who attends?
Exeter Stake Youth 14 years of age and older.  Friends of our youth are welcome.

Adult Leaders Comprising:
  • Couples from each ward serve as Ma's and Pa's over a family comprising approx 6-10 young women and men. The participation of these couples was discussed and agreed upon in ward councils. Brother David Berndt of the High Council will be contacting prospective Ma's and Pa's.
